Sorry I haven't been updating much.  New site coming soon.  I think.  Keep checking. - Tara (10/15)

So, haven't done much since school started.  The Twities (as I've decided to call them) are great but haven't had time to explore too much.  We've started making of list of bands we plan to invite for next year, so if you want to play get a hold of me soon.  Mike Barrett is going to be helping me out a lot this year, so if any of you know him tell him that you think he's cool, because he is.  That's all I have for now, but planning will hopefully be starting very soon so keep checking back!! - tara (12/8)

Wow, lots has happened.  Some good stuff, some not so good stuff, but we don't need to go into details.  I guess no matter how far in advance I book some bands at least 1 is bound to cancel less than 3 days before the show.  This year it was Shattered Red.   Luckily Rapids has a new band (Sullen Riot) who was more than happy to fill in last minute.  Sorry I haven't been doing much with the site in the last 3 months or so, things have been hectic.  Shirts, buttons, and compilations this year.  I'm really excited.  All merch sales from this year's show will go towards setting up next year's show so hopefully all expenses will be paid ahead of time and all of the cover money will go straight to the bands.  Rollin' Dough will be at the park the day of the show, so come hungry - they have great (cheap!) pizza.  Please I cannot stress enough - the bands at the beginning of the day are NOT "opening bands" so come early!  The show will be fantastic beginning to end so don't miss a minute of it!  Check out the article in the paper http://www.wisinfo.com/dailytribune/wrdtentertainment/294581545105837.shtml.   Hopefully I'll see you Saturday!!   - Tara (8/4)

Line up should have been settled a long time ago, I appologize for that.  Bands haven't been responding and I haven't been as prompt as I should have been, but anyway.  Stuff is going fairly well.  Some funny news: Park Rock is nominated for the Public Access Awards!  Our catagory is Non-Edited One Shot or something like that.  I'm thoroughly amused by it.  But anyway, I have to go to the awards ceremony and I'm not excited about that.  We have art contest stuff and that should be posted within the week.  Anyway, keep checking back. - tara (4/9)

Well, things are still happening slowly.  Bands are confirming one by one, 9 so far, all of them very good bands!  One minor obstacle that has been put in our path is a sound system.  Previous years we've rented from Pete Gilson's, this has worked well but has cost Park Rock $300.  This is money that could have gone to the bands that played.  We're hoping to find another place/person to rent a nice PA from that will cost much less than $300.  This system has to be capable of putting out great sound, and be used for hours.  If anyone has any ideas/suggestions please let me know.  Things are still going very well, we should have a few surprises for you in the next month or two so keep checking back! - tara (3/27)

Well, things have been happening, but it's been going sort of slowly.  We have to wait until we get all of the bands lined up before we can get many other things done.  The art contest is going to end on March 25.  I'm not going to promise anything as far as when I will be picking the winning design because it really depends on how many good designs we get.  I will be sending an email to everyone who sent in designs with the winner and his/her design.  I will also post the winner/winning design on the site.  Keep checking back.  Thanks - tara (3/15)

Things are starting to get going and boy oh boy is it exciting!  We've been making arrangements as far as technical stuff for the show and things are begining to fall into place.  We even have a big surprise for you kids!  I don't feel like telling you quite yet so you'll all just have to wait.  Anyway, we've started to contact a few bands (don't worry if I haven't gotten a hold of you yet that doesn't mean you're not being considered).  We have two that have confirmed so far so that's pretty exciting,  Keep checking back! - tara (1/18)

Well, haven't had much happening around here, I apologize.  Things will be getting started as far as preparations for next year's show fairly soon.  I've learned my lesson from the past two years.  I'm going to be doing things slowly from January to August instead of trying to plan between trips during the summer months.  If anyone is interested in helping out with the show let me know.  It's going to be bigger and (hopefully) better this year but that means that much more needs to be done.  If people are interested making/distributing flyers or this year's Park Rock logo thinger let me know.  We're also going to be going around the communitiy asking for small donations from businesses willing to sponsor the show and if anyone is willing to put in a good word with their employer that would be fantastic.  The money from these sponsors will go for renting the park, renting the sound system, and also ordering buttons and possibly Park Rock shirts!  That's about it for now, but thanks for checking the site, hopefully there will be many fun and exciting things to look at next time you stop by!

Well, my computer is back, that's exciting.  I've been updating things very slowly though, and I apologize for that.  I finally have a few shows up for you, but I have to get to work on making that more complete.  I still have to get pictures developed from the day of the show let alone scanned, but as soon as I get this done they will be on the site, so keep checking back!  Thanks for visiting! - tara (10/1)

My computer died! I'm sorry.  I'm here at the local library updating all that I can for you.  Keep checking back I'll fix up the site more as soon as my computer gets well.

We have an article in the paper!  I'm excited about it, I haven't gotten the paper yet but I read it online.  For those of you interested you can go to http://www.wisinfo.com/dailytribune/index.shtml#et to see it.  For those of you from he area just look at the paper!  Also, a few of the bands have asked me if they would be able to get copies of the article, if some of you are able to bring your copy to the show for the out of area bands that would be awesome of you.  Hopefully I'll be seeing you on Saturday! - tara (8/26)

Well, I left town again, this time only a week, and nothing really happened when I was gone.  Hopefully flyers will be up soon, I was hoping to get them out much sooner than now but just didn't happen, oh well.  If anyone would like to help put them up anywhere possible that would be much appreciated.  If you're interested email me (go to contact page).  There is some great news.  Rollin' Dough Pizza is going to have a booth at the show to sell pizza to all of us hungry park rockers!  Isn't that wonderful?  I know I'm excited!  Everybody at the show should tell them how much their presence is appreciated so that they will be more than willing to come back next year!  Well, I can't really think of anything else to tell you, so just keep checking back! - tara (8/23)

Ahh! Only two weeks left, I'm getting nervous.  The show is continuing to come together and that's always a good thing, don't want things falling apart.  I'm definitely excited about this show, and I'm hoping I'm not the only one.  We got a great line-up, and there might be food there this year!!  I'm not going to mention any names but one of the local businesses is "very interested" in setting up a little stand booth thinger and feeding us all.  As soon as there is anything certain I'll have it on the site so keep checking back!  - tara (8/13)

We have ordered buttons!  They're fun and exciting.  There are three different designs, I haven't decided yet whether I want to put them on the site, or make you wait until the day of the show.  Mwuahaha!  The guy that made our buttons is at www.nolopins.com, you should check it out!  Keep checking back.  - tara (8/11)

Well...I have some good news and I have some bad news....  The Response will not be able to play after all.  Steve's employer isn't letting him out of a mandatory work day which is unfortunately the same day as the show :(.  The good news is that one more band had confirmed! Paper Collar Joe.  Keep checking back!  - tara (7/30)

Well, I'm going to be leaving again, this time only for 1 week though!  Hopefully there will be many exciting things happening when I return.  Have a great week everyone! - tara (7/21)

Well, now that I've actually been home things have been happening again!  More bands have confirmed and that's always exciting; still waiting to hear from many of them though.  I finally got a few more shows for you kids!  I promise that I will get details on The Ground Up's other shows before I leave again.  Keep checking back! Have Fun! - tara  (7/14)

There hasn't been anything new for quite some time I appologize, I was out of town for two weeks.  I came home to some exciting new though! Another band is able to play!  The Response!  Keep checking back! (7/10)

Well, so far we have 3 bands that have confirmed.  I've contacted others and they're all like yeah we can play, but we have to check first.  So yes, I'm waiting patiently for them to get back to me.  As soon as they let me know I will add it to the site so keep checking back.  I appologize for the lack of excitement with the page, I've been a bit busy.  Hopefully things will begin to be more entertaining around here sometime soon though!  There isn't really much else for me to tell you about...there hasn't been a whole lot happening thanks though!  Keep checking back.
